    Hi all

We are getting married in las Vegas in April and it all seems so easy...too easy and I'm scared the is something I am missing!

So is there anything I need to do in Ireland first or anyone I need to inform?

We arrive in Vegas on Thursday and hope to marry on Friday. I know we need to get the county clerks office and we plan to do this on arrival on the Thursday night. Will we really be okay to get hitched the next day then?

When we get back I know we order the official cert online I believe. Who do we need to inform other than revenue when we get back? We have a child...I don't know if this makes a difference

Sorry about all the questions. It just seems so straighforward and I don't want to have missed something obvious.

We got married in Vegas. We walked over to the clerks office and picked up our cert. If you do it all online first it's really fast. We then went for lunch and waited for the office of civil marriages to open and got married all within about 3 hours. It's very easy. Our official documents because available to order the very next day!

Thanks so much for the info guys. I don't think there is any waiting period in vegas so I think we can arrive and pretty much get straight to it so the honeymoon can begin! !

I was just planning on ordering the wedding documentation direct when I get home. I think you just order it direct from nevada state.

Just goes to show you how complicated they make everything over here!

Yep, that's one of the reasons we got married in Vegas. It's so simple. You can order all the documents online when you get back. We were just in a hurry with ours.

You'll have a blast! Enjoy it!

Sorry to resurrect this thread but less than 2 months to go now and would love to hear from anyone who has been hitched in viva lv recently! Would love any tips!

Do I need a birth cert or is a passport sufficient for the license? Also how lohg did people queue for in the office?Do I just order all the paperwork when I get back home then?

    :)
