This is a tough one I've been grappling with for about 2 years now and it's gotten decisively stronger since having my two kids (I can mark that as the trigger). But I have become (and am becoming even more so) utterly terrified of my eventual end. I'm not talking being hit by a bus or getting terminal cancer or getting shot in a random robbery - just terrified to the point of mild panic attacks that one point in one day I will realise I am about to die. I have absolutely no religious beliefs so I'm of the opinion that when it's over, it's over.
I've talked to my partner about it and did suggest that I might need to talk to someone about it professionally, but he didn't think it was much to worry about. I'm only 28, and the women of my family have lived well into their 80s in good health. Anyone else suffer with this?
