Hi all I'm looking for a really good series to start watching. To give you an insight into the various shows that I'm into, I've watched all of the walking dead, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Orange is the new black, the wire, true detective, stranger things, narcos, making a murderer, the night of and better call Saul... This is all I can think of so far but I'm sure there's more. As you can see I'm into a variety of different genres... so what I'm really looking for is a series/boxset that really makes you want to watch the next episode.
    Any opinions are welcome!
    Thanks a mill

Justified - brilliant show about a US Marshall in Kentucky. Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins are brilliant in the lead roles. It's a bit slow for the first 4 or 5 episodes, but really gets going after that.

Some great shows listed OP but the below are must see TV imho.

    Banshee
    Justified
    The Shield
    The Sopranos

Dexter and Sons of Anarchy are also worth a look as they start off strong but fizzle out 4 seasons in.

Another show you might like is "Revenge" It ran for 4 seasons. Its starts off very good but the last season does get a bit silly.

    Legends is another excellent series.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Have you watched the West Wing.

A few years old but one of the finest TV shows ever IMO and you can pickup full series for €60.

The Shield.. Have watched it a few times now and I still find myself watching several at a time :)

The Man In The High Castle.. enjoyed the first season (I love that whole history/alternate timeline stuff anyway) and the second season starts shortly

The Last Ship.. more popcorn than the others but a consistently great show IMO

A few older series that are brilliant:

    Our Friends in the North
    Boys From the Blackstuff
    GBH
    Jake's Progress
    This Life
    Clocking Off
    Southland

    More recent ones include:

    Lilyhammer
    Happy Valley
    Thirteen
    Scott & Bailey
    Shameless (UK and/or US version)
    Top of the Lake

And I highly recommend the various recent high-profile Danish series:

    The Killing
    The Bridge
    Borgen
    The Legacy (Arvingerne)

    Hope this helps :)

Battlestar Galactica. The remake from the 2000s. Make sure you start with the TV movie/ pilot before watching season 1.

Glad someone suggested some UK shows. Seems everyone watches American crap these days and doesn't even know about great series like Happy Valley etc.

    I'd add

    Mad Dogs(Original UK version)
    Life On Mars/Ashes To Ashes
    The Night Manager
    Doctor Foster

Off the top of my head.
