Ford Engine Rattle - Indie Needed

    Hello All,

Wife's Ford S-Max 2008 2.0 TDCI has developed a loud rattle today in around the pulley area. Only happens on idle and is gone then when driving or on higher rev's. Clutch feels a little stodgy too so reading online it looks like possible DMF issue/clutch failure or Auxiliary Drive Belt kit issue - both can occur and give issue on this model. Mileage is only about 50k miles so not major distance put up but it is mostly local trips for school runs etc.

Looking to get a diagnosis done so wanting to see if anyone can recommend a good Ford indie on Dublin Southside anywhere, or around Dublin area in general? Not keen on what costs might be from a dealer on this and for an 8 year old car too I don't want to be screwed over.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks
    Paddy

Blackchurch motors would be worth a call. Indie ford specialists.
