    Hi all

I've just had a 20kw heat Genie installed to tie into my pressurised system zone heating system,

I have a hamco 20kw stove and after lighting it and everything gets up to temp I am seeking very poor heat to the heating,

I had a look at the genie and it is pumping all the hot water into the tank with only a small bit going through the heat exchanger,

Anyone have any ideas how to stop this,

It was the plumbers first time installing one (also family member so I can't be too hard on him) so I need to see what info I can find out,

    Thanks

Uncontrolled heat source - make a mess of it and they'll be scraping you off the walls for weeks :

Hi thanks for the replies we got it working, the diagram we were working from had the feed and expansion on different pipes, we installed the close coupled feed and it seems ok,

Can anyone comment on how efficient these genies are, I have the pump stat set at 60 but with one zone open, 5 double rads, I'm hardly seeing 40deg at the manifold, while there is heat in the rads after 3 hours I'd expect them to be hotter than Luke warm,

I'm still bedding in the stove so the fire wasn't too big but to be honest I can't see how to get this hamco singing like the old mulberry room heater we had, I've everything wide open and it's just a slow calm fire in it??

    Thanks,

The bottom pipe on the stove, where is it going? Under the top or to the opposite corner on the right as you look at it?

Its going to the opposite corner as per the stove manufacture its fed in a diagonal pattern,

    Thanks
