Hi all, the pico is on its way and says it comes with 0.3, 0.5 and 0.25 coils.

What would be the "mildest" option of those three and what setting (wattage) would be preferable.

Stepping up from the basic pen so don't want to go blowing the head off myself, just a step up (maybe about 25%) in the hit

The 0.5ohm coil is the 'mildest' - but it still wants in around 30w, it's not a mouth to lung coil, none of them are. You'll want to fetch some 1ohm+ coils for that. If you close the airflow right down to minimum, use a tight drip tip, then maybe you can MTL with that 0.5, I think it'll still be too airy though

great, would the "bestshop" be decent for 1ohm+ coils?

    Or any better suggestions?

Been a long while since I actually bought any pre-built coils, I only use RTA nowadays. but I do know that in your Melo you can use Aspire Atlantis, Herakles 1 and the original triton coils. So there may be options, but will take a bit of searching.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think these may also fit, Atlantis v2 1ohm coil - http://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/clearomizers/580-aspire-atlantis-2-replacement-coil-head.html

Yup, and these Triton 1.8ohm will work also - http://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/clearomizers/609-aspire-triton-replacement-coil-head.html

I go with both - get the widest range of choices to find your own level :)

thanks folks, silly question probably, but how do you actually know which coils fit your tank?

So I ordered these, any recommendations on settings for a decent hit stepping up from basic pens?

I would say with those coils, try in around 10w, with the airflow on the tank closed about halfway. Trial and error from there. You can up the wattage if it feels weak, or open up the airflow more etc ... just use 10 w, half airflow as your start point.
