Question on sheriff involvement

Hi everyone!
I need a bit of advice.
So the story is this, I put a deposit on a car, the seller did not deliver the car in the condition agreed.
I then requested to get my deposit back, he disagreed so I took him to small claims court.
He lost and was supposed to pay for that deposit back, he did not so I emailed him, including a copy of the courts degree and he ignored me.
Now I need to take this a step forward and get the sheriff involved.
My question is, how much will it cost to get those guys involved and what happens if they are unable to recover the deposit back.
I wast to take this all the way because the seller is the definition of scum and was willing to risk my life by selling me a death trap!
But at the same time I don't want to be investing large amounts of money and time on this.
Any advise welcome.
