Mass Paths - Official Records

    Anyone know if there is an official record of Mass Paths in Ireland?

    I've looked at the OSI maps online, archaeology.ie etc but can't find any.
    We have one running through our land and I'm almost certain I've seen it marked on a map before but cant remember where.

    never saw it on a map

    we have one running through our place still have the pillars of the walkway, grandfather doesnt remember seeing it on a map either but back when it was in use going to church wasnt allowed, it leads to a mass rock one way and an old church the other way

    Not the Folio maps, but the 1888-1913 OS 25 inch mapping is available on the OSI GeoHive site:

    I don't see them on that either. But AFAIK they were on the old large scale maps that had the acres of every field on them. I reckon like every farmer in the country we sent ours in to dept of ag when area aid started off, maybe they are the maps patsy saw them on?

    Sorry I was wrong, patsy if you go into the geohive link above, on left hand side go into 'data catalogue' then click on 'base information and mapping' select the 1913 25 inch and you'll find them on there dotted line fp

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
