I'm living in the UK. My photograph is almost 10 years old and I need to update it. Do I need to return to Ireland to do it?

No. There's a passport office in London.

Should have no problem as you send all docs in along with old passport.

You can apply in certain post offices in Northern Ireland if you live in that part of the uk.
