Time to buy a diesel?

Hey, I have a 1.3 Ford Fiesta (petrol) . I live about 40 minutes away from my work so I drive to and from work 5+ days a week, and then I go see my girlfriend who lives about 35-40 minutes away from where I live so I also drive down their about 5-6 times a week. But I'm literally living paycheck to paycheck as I have to put petrol in my car nearly every single day. Easily over €100 a week on petrol, would I see noticeable difference if I was to upgrade and buy a diesel? Would there be much saving if I was to get a diesel with all the miles been done daily or not much difference in saving money? Tnx

Where do you drive for the 40 minutes, is it city driving or motorway?

I'd find it very hard to justify throwing that kind of money into that car every week... Then agAin if cost saving is the goal. No pour in losing thousands in depreciation and loan interest ...

Fuel economy would be better with a diesel but you have to consider the cost to change, increased servicing costs etc.

How many miles a week do you do?

p.s. Why fuel the car almost daily?
