Help!! I've a wedding coming up this weekend and am in the bridal party.
I'm after getting a humongous spot ( maybe cyst-red with no head and very sore )
I have a cream I've been putting on it -has antibiotic in it apparently- got it abroad .
What can I do to clear it up by wknd??
Been trying to leave it alone but keep rubbing it by accident because if where it is on my forehead.
Are there any over the counter remedies that can help quickly?? Really desperate here 😭

There was a post in the reviews thread recently about getting rid of a spot if you want to have a look through it. I'm sorry not to be more helpful!!

Cleanse your face so its really clean then steam it for about 10 minutes, fill a bowl with boiled water, put your face over the steam with a towel over your head to stop the steam from escaping.
Once youve steamed and your pores are open you need to exfoliate really well with a cleansing exfoliator, then put on a cleansing facemask..boots do cheap ones, then wash it off with warm water then rinse with cold water or rose water to close your pores. Moisturize your face loads then put a big blob of sudocrem on your spot (its amazing) leave it there for the night, by the morning the spot should be reduced, make it sure to keep it clean through out the week, steam it again maybe after a few days and keep sudocrem on it.

Wash all your makeup brushes, i got two big cystic spots on my head because I hadnt washed my blush brush.

Crush two aspirin tablets into a powder and mix to a paste with a tiny amount of water.

Apply to your spot, and cover with a plaster. This will definitely reduce swelling and redness, if it seems to be a cystic spot.

If you do this each night, chances are your spot will be gone, or at least very much reduced! You may/probably will notice a difference overnight! Good luck, and I know this definitely works.

OBVIOUSLY DO NOT DO IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ASPIRIN.

Thank you so much for the advice!!! I'll definitely wash my brushes because I think they are a bit neglected!! Normally I wouldn't care about a spot or two appearing but visualising with a big hug monstrosity in the middle of my forehead for wedding photos is scaring the bejaysus out of me
    Lol.
    Thanks again!!!

There's nothing for it, OP. Head transplant.

    Immediately.

Don't go crazy doing loads to your skin trying to fix it because you'll only make it worse by causing more breakouts from irritation. I wouldn't do a steam type facial because you could end up messing up your whole face so close to the day, just do the disprin trick on the spot only. Then quit. You don't want to dry out the spot and surrounding skin so much that make up cakes it. At least if it's under the skin you can go heavy on green concealer on the day, having a crusty patch will not be good!

r/skincareaddiction have good skincare advice, including the plaster trick mentioned by the other poster

I'd agree on not doing any out of the ordinary facial masks etc before the wedding. Are you getting your make-up done for you on the day? I was bridesmaid for my sister & had a huge spot brewing on the side of my face but you couldn't tell from the pics as the make-up artist did such a good job hiding it.
Origins do a really great spot remover that you dab on and I've found it really takes down any spots in a couple of days. It's a bit pricey (think about €30) but lasts for ages as you only need a teeny amount.

Benzoyl peroxide creams! Oxy on the spot is great and has 2.5% BP, should be available in most places like Boots. Also over the counter BP creams. Good luck!

A targeted dab of toothpaste on the spot itself to dry it out. Won't get rid of it overnight but should speed things up.

Also, don't worry too much. The MUA for the bridal party will be able to cover it really well I'd say. If you just concentrate on drying it out so that it reduces in size, the MUA can hide the redness etc on the day.

Bit late for you now probably but I find La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + to be an absolutely miracle worker with spots.
