Anyone come across these guys before? http://www.deepbluewatches.com

Found them by complete chance earlier today and really like some of their stuff.

    Particularly, this:

Might pick one up as a day to day piece...

I had to double check, but I did have one of these - a diver with a green face. Solidly built, had a ceramic bezel IIRC. These are nice for the money.

They were of interest to me as a lot of their watches have tritium tubes on the dial

deep down I'm a child who likes colourful shiny things ... just never seemed to get one with the tritium as I couldn't justify the cost given what other stuff you could get for the money

I put a fair bit of research into them a while back but never pulled the trigger. Seemingly decent watches but a lot of people dont like the fact that they were agressively pushing into the shopping channel market a while back, it cheapens the name and caliber a little.

Have a search on adverts for sold ones as I do recall seeing a guy selling a few different versions on adverts around the €200-250 mark not that long ago.

In fairness it's going for around half the price of a 007. If anybody is thinking of buying one of these just pay the little bit extra to get a seiko of some description!
I haven't seen any of the deep blue watches in the flesh but having owned quite a few seikos and currently have a lovely blue sumo, the build quality is incredible for the money.

I own a 009 and like it - but there is a case for choosing the Deep Blue as it has sapphire crystal, hacking/hand winding movement and greater water resistance.

Personally, I would still choose the Seiko.
