I have a black Honda CRV that has lots of scratches and kids finger prints.
Would a detail on the paint get rid of these.

Short answer is yes. most likely.

Long answer is depends on the condition of the paintwork - it will get rid of the finger prints, but depends on what you define as scratches. Light swirling will be easily resolved, but if you mean a scratch caused by say a shopping trolley or similar, it may not.

If you post a few pictures of what you mean, we'll be able to advice.
