    hi,
I'm looking to have a small private party 30-40 people in city centre on New Years Eve and am trying to find a solo musician to play a few tunes from around 10.30-12.30. We'll have a mixed crowd from early 20s through to late 60s.

The venue has a piano so ideally someone that can play piano and guitar. Would anyone have any recommendations?

Also any guide price for a solo act on NYE?

    Thanks

NYE is one of the most expensive nights of the year. The majority of bands/musicians will have engagements with their existing clients which they're likely not going to drop for you offering them two hours work for one night.

I'd suggest trying to get somebody every week/two until Christmas and then you may have a relationship with them by NYE.
