I'm tired of going to Geoffs or Thirsty Scholar for a few then getting kicked out at half 11 for feck sake. Then the only option is to go into a club or "pub" where you can't have a conversation with anyone because of some ****e DJ and you can't breathe or move because of the amount of teenagers packed in there.

The Uluru has a late bar on Fridays and Saturday, theres only music and bands in one half so if you dont like that you can go in to the other bar

Geoffs is overrated filled with noisey hipsters and over priced food.

yep. there was a massive brawl in there last night as well apparently. Paddy wagons and squad cars were hanging around outside it when I walked past last night. Kazbar is grand during the day but at night they turn up the music to a level where you can't talk to anyone and it sort of turns into a club.

The Reg last night was like back in the 90s. Absolutely jammed in there. Good band on up the back too. Good to see so many people out and about . All pubs that area were very busy and oktoberfest packed out. Heard shortts was jammers too with smash hits playing

Woodman used to be a late bar every night but it's only a late bar Friday and Saturday's (Sunday nights on bank holiday weekends)

It is a grand place if ur a lone drinker who wants a late drink but doesn't want a packed nite club

but if ur a weeknight drinker there's very little options for u in the city. All pubs close at the normal time and ur only options in town are Shortts, revs (closes at 1.00am Mon-thurs) and the kazbar (late bar the odd night). Foundary and crystal open on student nights. Masons, thirsty scholar and the reg have pub hour licenses AFAIK

Guess I just have too get used to having a quite drink with blaring tunes and messy drinks in the background lol

Every bar can be a late bar to someone with a brick and a sense of adventure.

It's usually has a very good crowd on Saturday nights although Fridays can be quiet enough.

It's the best late bar in Waterford by a considerable distance imo as you have the quiet bar at the front, disco in the middle and a band down the back so it has the best of everything really. Almost no scumbags or teenagers in there either.
