Is a 4.2kw stove going to cut the mustard?

    Hello,
    We have an open plan living / kitchen. The living room part is 90m3 with a double door opening to the kitchen.
    We have been gifted a 4.2kw stove, will it be sufficient to heat the room or am I going to have to wear my jumper in the middle of winter?
    Finally, can a stove installer be recommended in Wicklow?

    90m2 - are you sure? Sounds like a large area for a single space.

    How many radiators are currently in this space?
    Are they singles or doubles?
    Roughly how long are they?

    oops :D

    so assuming a ceiling height of 2.5m we have a floor space of 36m2. I'm heating a late 1960's 3 bed semi with a 19kw boiler stove, approx 135m2.

    If this is a free standing dry stove and you would be putting the flue into an existing open fireplace, I would definitely do it. But don't remove whatever your existing heating system is.
