Desperate need for advice!

My wife is a hospital doctor and changes hospital every year.
She is terrible when it comes to sorting her finance and taxes and often just leaves herself on emergence tax without getting it sorted.
She was requested to fill out a form 12a 2 years ago and it hasn't been done yet! She is missing most of her p60's and p45's.

She has been doing really long hours with little time off over the last few years.
We also started renting our apartment in Jan 2015 the rent from which we need to tax also.

I am going to try to put some shape on it myself but would really appreciate some advice on what I need to do to get started.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Talk to Revenue, they'll sort you out.

    Hire an accountant.

    Accountant +1

As First says...an accountant make sense especially if there's tidying-up to do. It doesn't cost that much and will likely pay for itself. I've been in a similar boat...and almost not sure where to start. Accountants won't judge...just help you get things in order. K

Yes, this is the only appropriate thing to do.. Sounds is you have a few issues to work through, doing anything excerpt hiring an accountant would seen to be a risk filled false economy...... Plus the is no way people of the internet will have enough into to help you in any meaningful way

Defo go get an accountant...we were in similar boat a few years ago when we were both self employed..we did try to manage it ourself..while our issues were not huge accountants had it sorted in no time..takes the burden off your shoulders a little.

Go to revenue.ie sign up for online. There you can get all your P60 info for d last few years.

Think about your rent and how long uv been renting for and whatever costs you put into it since you rented. Try to find d receipts.

Like everyone else I recommend going to see an accountant. Any half decent one will sort you out in no time.

Income tax is bread and butter for them
