Use cable for wireless extender?

    Hi, I recently upgraded to the VM superhub. I still have my old technicolor tc7200 and cisco epc2425. I'm wondering if it would be possible to plug in one of these to a spare upc socket (for tv/cable) and use it for ethernet (basically as an alternative to powerline). I wouldn't be able to get ethernet from one box to the other, but upc cable is already in place, so would it be possible? Thanks.

    No, not possible. Powerline or running an ethernet cable from new Virgin hub are your only options.

    You're wrong.

    Plenty of Ethernet to coxial adaptors available. Check eBay or Amazon. Google for more info

    Add one both ends and away you go

    Its a kludge, but could be done, but only if the socket in question is tapped from the "master" one and not from a nipple on the eave. If the latter its zero use to you.
