Part time education query

    Hi all,

I have recently begun completing a two year PME and, as part of the course, have to complete placements during it. I have not yet completed a placement, but one placement consists of five weeks. I am currently claiming Jobseeker's Allowance under the Part Time education option- something that I am extremely glad of, considering the course itself cost €12000! My question is, am I still entitled to the allowance as I complete placement? The placement itself is in schools and last for five weeks. I must emphasise that this is unpaid placement and the school have already informed me that there will probably be no "paid" subbing available? Without the jobseekers allowance, I am essentially working for no income whatsoever- even worse than a Jobbridge. I must admit that I find the idea of receiving absolutely nothing frustrating as it insinuates that I would be better to stay at home and receive money, rather than going out to complete placement (with the intention of bettering myself and my job prospect) and receiving nothing. I would greatly appreciate any help.
