Waiting time on cancellation list?

I had to cancel a test due to another commitment in mid-August. I then went on the cancellation list for my centre about a month ago and have still got no call for a test. Is this to be expected or should I give them a ring to make sure I'm still in the queue? Also, how much notice will I get in advance if I am called?

I've been told that they could literally be the next day.
Call them up very so often asking about cancellations. They'll tell you dates they have available.

Definitely call them. They'll give them on a first come first served basis. Don't feel any obligation to take one at too short notice if it doesn't suit you

I was waiting 4 months for a test in Wicklow, have it next week. I called the RSA about notice recently and they said it could be by email or phonecall and could be weeks in advance or days
