Im in the market for a new phone and was just wondering what people feel is the best one available atm. Wouldn't mind paying for an expensive phone if it was worth the price.
    Thanks

Hard to answer because of shear variety of Android phones on the market. Normally someone would be looking at best within a certain budget.

The S7 is up there. In my opinion the htc 10 is too. I would be saying the note 7 when the battery issue goes away. And I'm personally looking forward to the release of the new Google phones in the next month.

But people have different screen sizes they perfer, different storage options, some want loads of internal space and others insist on sd cards, some people like pure android ahead of say touchwiz or whatever. It's complicated!

I was thinking of going for the OnePlus 3. Any opinions?

Got one this week, very happy with it so far. There is a thread on here for it.

I had an s7 that met an untimely end so went with the oneplus 3 to replace it. I don't think it's worth the extra money for the s7 but it does fall down in a few areas, albeit not majorly. The camera isn't quite there and the screen are definitely a notch below but the performance and build are right up there.

I've just replaced it with a HTC 10 (there's a nice discount on the UK site) and it's a better phone so far to me but again there's very little in it. The screen and camera again are better.

If those two things don't bother you I don't think you'll regret buying the OP3.

Thats what I would have suggested.

The S7 and the HTC 10 are a bit pricey for my budget. €400 is probably the most I would go so the OnePlus 3 is looking good. Whats this about new Google phones?

So the OP was a total fabrication then?

There is no best, stupid thread.

I wanted to see what people rated as the best first off all ie was the more expensive ones (Samsung, Apple) actually very good quality or maybe it is the brand that brings up the price.
Then I let people know my price range to narrow the parameters.

Bit of a stupid post on your behalf now as ya just wanted to spread some hate.

The "best" is so open ended up that ED E is right to question your post. There are so many options available that there is no definitive answer at least until some parameters are specified.

    Best value for money? OP3
    Best features? Note 7
    Best audio? HTC 10
    Best screen? S7
Best camera? S7/HTC 10/Sony Xperia X (according to DxOMark)
Best software support? Nexus 6P (soon to be a pixel device).

The thing at the moment is that most devices are pretty strong across the board. They don't have glaring weaknesses like the camera on the M9, or battery life on the S6.

My opinion on the best overall phone would be the Note 7, but we all know the current issues it has.

Huawei p9 might be worth a shout if 400 is your limit. It's just above your cutoff and is pretty high end.

Basil3's post below yours just kinda blew your post outta the water.

In the same situation myself. After waiting 18mths or more for a HTC 10 on VF they deciede not to stock it. So I'm going it alone and buying outright.

    I've it down to

1 HTC 10 at around 540 euro from the UK (including hte UK's £100 discount)

    2 OnePlus 3 399 euro.

Is the 140 difference worth it for the HTC or stick to the OnePlus3?

If the UK HTC site did the 100 discount AND the noise cancelling headphone offer together (not one or the other) I defo go HTC again.

i should probably add the S7 as option 3 but I never was a Samsung fan when they were all plasticly (if thats a word) but I probably open to it now.

    So HTC10, S7 or OP3?

    Hardly ..
As I said, best is subjective to what the user requires which you didn't specify. All you stated was the amount you wanted to spend. You should have stated in your original post of what features you would prefer to have.

I wouldnt rule out the HTC One A9 or the LG G4, still excellent considering there a new models out...

However, for overall value for money, I'd happily buy myself a OnePlus 3.

PS. A few friends have WileyFox phones and while cheap, still manage to pack a punch!

If there's not one big feature that either has that you know you will miss if in another I'd just go with the OP3.

I gotta say though the screen and headphone performance on the HTC 10 are really impressive. It also comes with the high res headphones out of the box and has SD expansion. So it is more expensive but you get a few nice to haves with it.
