So in order to free-up some internal space I would like to transfer all the pics from the internal memory > to the SD card.

But how do I do that?

I'm not overly familiar with that phone but if you use google photos, it gives you the option to back up the photos to the cloud then remove them from the device to save space while still having immediate access to them.

Thanks for that, but I would also like to have the pics stored in the phone (on the SD card)...

    There must be a way?

According to here - there doesn't seem to be an option to select which storage you use as default. Maybe try transfer pics using a file manager to the SD card?

I think I need a Smart Prime 7 owner to resolve this.

Have given up on Vodafone customer services who seem truly 'stumped' by the data storage issues with this model. I did call into the Carphone warehouse who were very helpful, but even the chap there couldn't work out how to transfer pictures/audio from internal storage to the sd card. Data transfer to an external hard drive also seems tro be impossible :(

Where do I turn? who do I ask?

I don't have that phone but I have seen in some Android models that when you go into Settings and Storage and scroll down to the SD card, there may be an option to move media files from memory to the SD card, maybe try that.

The other option may be in my imagination but I think at one stage I went into the camera settings on an Android phone and changed the storage setting from 'device memory' to 'SD card' whereupon it asked me if I wanted to move the existing media files to the SD card. Worth a go.

Problem is, all that has been tried and failed :(
