I was looking for a couple of car seats to replace our old axxis and cheapo graco seats. Most group 123 isofix seats are 200 or more so I was surprised to come across this crowd selling them for 84.99. I ordered on Tuesday and they arrived today. Shipping by GLS was 5 euro.

They do require a car which is top tether compatible which I wasn't aware of but luckily our scenic has 2 compatible seats.

I'm very impressed with the quality and the fit is spot on. They are rock solid in the seat, so much better than the old ones. One nice feature is that the adjustable head restraint also raises and lowers the straps so you can get a perfect fit.

The car seats do look pretty good. But I have never heard of the company before, did you find any reviews?

How are they compare to Britax Evola 123 Plus?

I am also in the market for a Group 123 car seat for my 11 month old.:)

How are they fixed to the car? Do they have the proper isofix click-click arms like below?

We have just bought 2 great isofix group 2/3 seats and we are in the market for 2 more so keen to know details of these ones

Not sure about that, looking at manual. All sorts of odd language issues there, looks like a bad translation.

Looks like they're importing the seats, not manufacturing them. While they do claim to be EU regulations approved, I'm just overall quite wary about where they're coming from.

If you look at the websites of any other major seat manufacturer it's all safety, safety, safety. This website is all about how cheap and stylish their seats are, very little to be said about safety.

I'm interested in this seat as the OP says there are few Group1-3 seats in this price bracket with isofix. However, I need to check my car for top tethers first though.

What part of the manual screenshot above are you referring to? Seems decent enough.

You're probably right that they are imported but how have you inferred that?

The description of the seats mentions ECE R44/04 standard. Admittedly by 2018 this will be replaced by iSize (UN-ECE Regulation 129). But I would be confident that they wouldnt be selling them if they were not safe. Maxi Cosi is held in high regard for safety but that is due to the fact they are about the only company who buy and crash test cars for the sole purposes of baby car seat testing. Proper fitting of a car seat is probably the single most important safety aspect. You could have the best seat int he world but improper fitting makes it almost useless.

Does this use the top tether or just the seat belt?

I was told when buying the Britax Advansfix SII that any isofix without the floor leg need to be secured by something else

It's isofix with top tether. Any group 23 seat with isofix needs either top tether or the floor leg unless the car is designed to need just the isofix, I think the term for this is semi universal.

So yes they have the click click isofix arms
I presume the top tether anchor point just needs to be used if you are using the seat as a group 1 seat with the child strapped in to the 5 point harness

if they are EU safety approved I wonder is there a website that you can check the seats approval and its not just a spoof claim on the website

    Dont think thats correct
Group 2/3 high back boosters dont need anything other than the isofix arms and then the seatbelt goes in through the guides etc and over the childs chest
No need for top teather or floor legs

    Just even the very first heading there;

"Installation of Group II and it is for the children whose weight between 15-25kg".

It's badly translated english, a native or even fluent speaker wouldn't write that.

That said, it could be translated from German or Spanish, you never know.
You're probably right that they are imported but how have you inferred that?
If you look at the website, you can choose different countries, but the website hasn't been localised for them. Choose Germany and most the content is still in English.
Just indicates a company who are trying to appear much larger than they are.

There's also very little about the process or the design of the seats; you have an address of a retail warehouse unit. If they were manufacturing or even designing the stuff themselves, it would be all over their website.

Just to make it clear I'm not making any claims that there is anything wrong with these seats. If they're EU approved, then I hope as an Irish business they have much success with this.

My spidey sense just tends to tingle when I see a safety product that's very cheap and the company selling it only appears to be a reseller/rebadger.

The ECE R44/04 is a joke, it virtually means that the car-seat is not made from asbestos.

If in market for car seat i find this a great resource, they actually test the car seats in impacts, I think its kinda like the German version of which, whom only test the seats for build quality and fit etc not crash test iirc.
