    Hey all,
Replying to myself here, but just wanted to post an update in case anyone's lurking..

We had a great first meet-up, with a really fun and friendly group of people (12 showed up). The group is a good mix of new and experienced gamers. I think a fun time was had by all, if the reviews on our Meetup.com account is anything to go by!

We're planning on running the night, every other Tuesday - so the next two will be on: 18th Oct & 1st Nov - 2016.

Same location: Sheraton Athlone Hotel - second floor - Siege Room (great room name choice... )

    Same time: 7PM until 11PM

    See OpenGameNight.com for more!

    Later,

    Brian

Hey, I'd be interested in this but does it matter if you havn't played boardgames before? I have a few I could bring along too if they were any good? (Basic ones...like labyrinth etc?)

You don't need to have played anything before, we bring along a big stack of games and are more than happy to teach you how to play.

There's several people who haven't played games since they were kids already attending so you'll be in good company, I hope to see you there.

    Have a nice weekend!

    Happy New Year all!
I just wanted to post a quick update on the group, things have been progressing nicely. We're seeing a pretty steady head-count at our nights and getting lots of games played!

We're back after the Christmas break with our first meetup of the new year, have a look:

Hi Brian, I'd be interested in coming along to the next one, is it on next Tuesday? I might not be able to make it until 8, would that be too late?

    Cheers

Hi, yeah the next meetup is Tuesday (7th of March) - drop in at any time, it's totally fine - you might have to wait a little bit for a game to finish / new one to start.

Be sure to RSVP on our meetup page: https://www.meetup.com/Open-Game-Night-Athlone/events/238036339/

    Seeya,

Another quick update on our game group. Things are going great, we've a great core group of 15 to 20 regular gamers showing up at each night, and we're getting to play all sorts of things - last week for example I got to play both Dr. Eureka and a monster "learning" game of Sid Meier's Civilization.

Our next night is scheduled for July 4th - I think we'll have to go all amerithrash to celebrate US Independence Day!
