First time posting, I was just wondering how to go about getting from Cabra west (around faussagh avenue area) to Nutgrove shopping centre using public transport. I will be travelling at peak times (early morning going there and evening heading home) thanks in advance!

    You have a few options.

The most direct is to take a 120 or 122 into O'Connell Street. Walk to Eden Quay (Stop 302) and take the 61. This will leave you outside Nutgrove Shopping Centre. The 61 is an hourly frequency so plan ahead.

Another option is to take a 14 from Eden Quay (Stop 301) to Churchtown. Get off at the first stop on Beaumont Avenue at the junction of Nutgrove Avenue. From there it's a 15 minute walk to Nutgrove Shopping Centre. The 14 is a more frequent service than the 61.

Finally, you can also take a 16 from O'Connell Street, this will leave you at the opposite end of Nutgrove Avenue. Hop off at the junction at the first stop on Grange Road and walk up Nutgrove Avenue.

If you get a train from Broombridge to Pearse, you can pick up the 61 outside the station as well or a 14 from Eden Quay or a 16 from Drumcondra or D'Olier Street.

On the 14, you can get it to Barton Road which is just 5 minutes away from Nutgrove. A little longer travel time but it cuts out on a long walk.

Shorter walk to take the 14 to the last stop on Barton Road East and take the path to walk down Meadow Park Avenue.

Nutgrove Avenue is windswept at the best of times.

Thank you all for your help, what about during the bus strike, is there an alternative?

Train Broombridge to Pearse (or walk)
LUAS from St Stephens Green to Dundrum
    Walk to Nutgrove
