Number and Success of hits this Season?

Thought it might be worth starting a thread to look at how many hits people had taken so far....and then at times during the season it could be re-visited.

Personally had two free transfers to use this GW which I did and took my first -4 hit to bring in Seamus Coleman for Luke Shaw.

Am hoping Coleman continues his good recent form at wkd.

I took 1 hit:
sold Vardy and bought Ibra after that Friday night game where Ibra scored two goals against Southampton.

Since then, Ibra has scored 12 points and Vardy 20. I am down 12 points (8 points plus the minus 4).

However on the plus side, I made .3 on the transaction.

Sold Heaton/vokes last week for Jaku/Nacho for -4 , captain Nacho returned 20 (would have been Ibra for 10) points Vokes 2 so net gain of 4, thought it was better , still happy out, team seems stronger.

Defoe to ageuro
aguero will then be captain otherwise it would have been ibra

You sound as if you're dissapointed with that outcome.

But if I told you that I had a hack that could get you an extra FT this week and add 4 points to your total score into the bargain I bet you'd be delighted!!

Not dissapointed, just thought it was more until I sat down and worked it out, if I could do it every week I'd be delighted.

One hit so far. WC planned to be played right after.

Lamela + Gray (Barkley would have played, Lamela benched) -> Antonio + Iheanacho. Barkley benched.
1 + 2 (2) -> 7 + 10 (2) -4
4 (1) -> 13 (2)

9 pts net gain. £0.2m gained on Antonio.

Deep regrets not having gone for -8 with Barkley (2) -> KDB (14) (Negredo (2) benched). Would have gained an extra 8 net points.

Don't be afraid. Take the hit. We all need to get more points so badly. Save ourselves! Even accept another hit sometimes :pac:. Watch from 2:08 onwards :pac:.

Did Collins and ozil to baines and firmino last week. Collins and ozil got 2 pts combined. Firmino didn't play so I got capoue off bench. Capoue and baines 12 pts. Ended up 6 pts better off after the hit and now have 2 players in my team that I want. Another -4 this week haz and IBRA to mane and aguero.

Good work:).....I'm going to try and keep better track this season of how my hits impact my team (how the replacing player does as compared to how things would have gone if I had left previous player in place over a given no of GW's).

mane and aguero got me 33 as opposed to hazard and ibras 4 plus whoever id have captained score. My ozil to firmino move the previous week cost me points this week.

This is where it gets complicated to track the real impact of our points hits. What works for 1 GW could backfire the next one and vice versa.

Yes...this season I'm going to keep an eye on the long term impact of the hits s bit more closely.I'm just after taking a -8 hit last night snd will assess its success or not closely for a while.

Sanchez, Antonio, Lovren & Aguero (42pts)

Net gain of 26 pts if I'm correct, now Zlatan could kill me week i dont have him but it's a risk I'm willing to take..

4 pts? You'd have benched Cazorla? And who would you have captained?

Oh yeah that's a fantastic immediate return! Especially from players you'll likely keep mid to long term (just doubts over Lovren).

In a way you played a mini WC and gained from it. Well done!

After taking a -8 hit as I have had a few horrible weeks.

Had 1 ft so did Jaku to Grant in goals.

Then did Ibra to Deeney upfront.
Also did Mc Auley to Koscielni.

Felt team needed tidying up.

Got rid of Baines and Shaw for -4. Smith got 0 but Koscielny got 15 so that made up for it. Happy enough in the end as he was the only player to score above 2 points besides Costa for me

Made my first points hit (-12) the gw just gone

Jaku, Baines, Barkley and Haz OUT
Pickford, Monreal, Sanchez and Walcott IN

New recruits scored 14pts better than if I'd left as was, so a 2 point gain already plus needed team surgery performed. Already transferred Son in with zero left in the bank now, leaving me looking like this:

Still no Kun but that's a risk I'm willing to take, gw11 is the time I have in mind to get him in. Otherwise I think the attack looks very strong. Defense could be a bit better I feel but I'll look to change that up a bit in the coming gameweeks.

My -8 last week was an unmitigated disaster points wise. Not had time to work it out, and not sure I want to.

The "necessity" to get Sanchez resulted in selling Costa, Cazorla and Collins for Sanchez, Cameron and Rashford. Long term the moves will hopefully help turn my team around, but short term a serious bust. Especially as if I had ended up keeping Costa in my team last week I'm almost certain I'd have captained him.

Outgoing 3+2+12 = 17
Incoming 3+2+2=7(-8) = -1

-18 on the hit.

Add on a potential extra 9 for captain points for Costa over Sanchez and if I'd done nothing I'd potentially be 27 points better off.

That right there is how now to take a hit folks. :eek:

@ FHFC: The following GWs will make it a good or bad move. 'Cause even if you could have waited for Costa to face Hull, the £0.3-0.4m you saved from getting Sanchez & Rashford in could prove crucial in a couple of GWs.

MUrinho are also trolling us big time lately... They're Lukakising up :pac: :rolleyes:.

Also, I remember you considered shipping Payet (instead of Cazorla) so at least you did not go that route. The problem is you "only" got stung by premium players (Sanchez blanking, Costa shining). As we all noted, this year we're gonna have to jump from some (premium) to others at the best timing possible. This time you got stung but even in hindsight, hard to call it a bad move.

Going through a horrible patch so after taking a - 12 hit...will be interested to see how it works out.Heaton is a keeper I should have got weeks ago!

Holebas for Coleman who has flattered to deceive.
Coutinho for Walcott...a hunch.
Gundogan for Stanislas....bandwagon move but Gundog is baring his teeth in front of goal at mo....arriving into box late to score ala Frank Lampard.
