MOO! Cows ear treats

Does anyone know how come some cows ears are clear but others are more leather looking - like clear/pasta looking rawhide vs the white kind?! Is it different parts of the ear?

(the clear ones are too thin for Bailey to chew well.. thinking of trying the other kind)

Maybe its to do with organic or non organic cows and all the chemicals in the food :P

Seriously, maybe its age related? A calf versus a mature cow? Or could be different breeds of cow perhaps. Do you know if the ears are European, any chance some of them come from China?

I'll get a small bag to try them and see how he gets on...roll on monday and i can spend my maxizoo vouchers I hope they don't make his teeth gnash together though because it freaks me out!! :eek:
