Do any of the mobile broadband providers do month to month contracts and are any use?

Struggling to get eir Broadband at the moment so looking at other options out there.

Are any of the 'dongles' any use?

According to Vodafone's website there should be 4g both inside and outside my house in Wexford. How accurate are their maps? Do they let you try out the dongle first before any contract? Have an eir dongle in the house we're in and it's utter crap. Is there a difference between the mobile providers?

Used a '3' dongle about 4 years ago and it was worse than useless so I'm wondering have things improved over last few years?

Buy a vodafone SIM and a 3 SIM for €10 each. Test around the premises. Then you'll know who to go with.

You'll need to buy the device outright if you want a contractless setup. If its just for a short time this may not be so economical.
