Samsung Galaxy S6 Fast Charge Cable in Dublin

Hey, does anyone know where I could pick up a USB cable that will fast charge the S6 Galaxy in Dublin?

I have the adapter, but the cable is getting very worn and frayed at the end. Thanks.

Is the USB lead different to a normal one

I thought it was the plug that had all the magic in it....

Is it? Grand so. Thought you needed a specific cable as well.

Cable is just a normal micro usb, any will work with the fast charger

A true fast charge cable has thicker wire. 20 AWG is thicker than a 28 AWG wire. Lower number is better.

Also some fast charge cables are blocked for data sync so it only charges.

Its very hard to get a decent charger and cable in dublin. I would say if you get a branded one for a tablet it will push more current which will be faster. But it isn't quick charging. Which is a specific standard. Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0

I would try get a original Samsung Charger. I get the best results from those and the cables are thicker than many of the other cables I have. Only way to be sure is to time it, or use a usb tester.

Some of my cables are faster than others. Even with the same charger. Also I think over time they must have breaks internally as I find some of my better cables have no longer give a fast charge.
