    The husband had a crash earlier this year(his fault), it was settled for just over 4.5k now we have just gotten a crazy renewal quote. Will anyone else quote him or are we stuck with them for the next 3 years?

    Could be 5 years before some insurers (AIG for example) would look at ye. Do you estimate you'll have the full 4.5k extracted from your pockets in increased premiums over the next few years?

    Well this years quote is 2,618, last years was about 700. So this year is an extra 1900. I have no idea what will happen over the next few years.

    Did he lose his bonus?

    With that much of an increase it sounds like he has.

    If he has then it will be that (not having a bonus) that will be the issue rather than the relatively small claim.

    Yup we totally spaced on protecting NCB so he lost it. Massive mistake.

    I think ye are pretty much snookered til ye build back a year or two.

    All I can suggest is ringing everyone and seeing what the best deal available is.
