Folks I'm trying to think of family oriented events in Galway over the next 3 months, so far I've come up with Boboro, the NuIG Science thing, the Halloween parade, the Christmas market.
    Can anyone suggest more?

    This is a good page.

Hot Air Balloon festival looks good. And the bonfire at Brigit's Garden for Halloween.

I think the next open day and science workshop bits are Fri / Sat Oct 7th/8th

That looks like one aimed at college kids looking to enrol. There is another one at NUIG that is a science/technology day for kids hosted by a lot of local companies.

This site seems to suggest something is coming up in Nov:

    "2016 Galway Science Festival"
    Mon 14th to Sun 27th Nov, 2016

    http://www.galwayscience.ie/

But the rest of the website is so hopelessly out of date and their facebook page hasn't been posted to since 2015 which doesn't inspire much confidence.

Minevention (mine craft convention) is on in Radisson on 26th and 27th November. We enjoyed it last year. Bad timing though as it looks like NUIG science fair will be on Sunday 27th and it attracts similar demographic

I think there is a mediaeval warfare festival at Claregalway castle sometime over the next 2 weekends... jousting, single combat etc. Should be entertaining...

Yeah, next weekend. Went last year and was pretty impressive. Seeing these big guys in full armour really going for it. Worth checking out.

Baboro International Arts Festival for Children happening in 17th - 23rd October. At least that will be the kids sorted around that time anyways.

Edit: Just seen you mentioned this in the op.
