Am looking to put in an order for bord na mona briquettes soon, and cheapest I can find delivered is €3.90 a bale in Leinster. Is this around the going rate for a bale these days?

what part of lenster are you in. are you near any briquette factories.
if you are close enough to one you can buy them direct cheaper than the shop prices.
you can buy them loose if you want.
if you picked the day right you would be there when the damaged bales are dumped into the heap . they will be still in bales and 80 % perfect.

3.90 isn't bad (remember the Green Party got the carbon tax put on them)

Aldi had them for the whole of the season last year for 4.00

I see Tesco have them now and are selling them at 4.99 !!
