    Hi all

Anybody know what stage you would ring sky when building a house?

Have ran 3 x cables to all rooms to where the dish will be so I presume that will be enough for new sky q.

Unfortunately the broadband in the area is pants so the max is 5mb, will that affect the new service in any way or do I ever need BB?? I'm planning to get sky BB as well with them when I have a phone line installed.

    Thanks

Only 2 cables from the dish to the main SkyQ box will be required, the SkyQ mini boxes in the other rooms connect to the main box via your home wifi. The other cabling can be used for Saorview/Freesat etc. if required

Although I can't confirm I assume you'll contact Sky regarding installation once you're ready to move in and use the service.

Regarding SKy Bb I know of one sky customer who already had Sky HD and wanted Sky BB. Sky did a test on his line and would not install BB as they said his line was too slow. Unsure what speed it was though.

I would recommend to ran 2x cat6 to each room ( one for q boxes, rest for other equipment)
