Hi, recently purchased a 2013 Skoda Octavia with a Bolero headset installed. There is a USB port and an Aux port for ipod but the USB is only for charging. You cannot control the ipod through the stereo, you can only use the Aux in.

Can anyone recommend a good stereo that would enable ipod control through the headset please?

Is it possible there's another way of doing this?
What model of iPod are you using? Where do you get your music? Is the iPod soley for use in the car? What phone are you using?

Hi Colm, thanks for the reply. Latest model of ipod touch. iPod is mainly used in the car am using a One Plus 3 phone. Ah it is not the end of the world, it just would be nice to have control through the stereo.

Would sticking the music onto a USB or SD card not make way more sense than getting an aftermarket stereo?

Might actually look at that, thanks. Get a small capacity first and see how it goes.

A friend of mine recently got a new superb as a company car. I stuck a load of music on a 16 gb SDHC for him and he finds it fine. I don't think you can creat playlists or anything though, so you either set it on shuffle of the contents of a given folder or you just play it in order.

Failing that i would say install spotify on your phone and stream the music - does your car support A2DP ? wires are so early 2000's :D
