    Diesel Switch Cheers Greens!
THE Green Party has said the swing towards buying energy efficient diesel cars confirms that “green policies do work”.

Taking credit for the success of the VRT regime introduced last year which awards drivers for buying low-emission cars, the party’s transport spokesman said drivers have changed their behaviour because of Environment Minister John Gormley’s policy changes.

As Dieselgate turns one year old, a new study by Transport & Environment (T&E) reveals that Volkswagen is currently selling the least polluting (Euro 6) diesel vehicles.

Nonetheless, the marque caught cheating in the US also has the most grossly polluting Euro 5 vehicles on the road, which were sold between 2011 and 2015.

    Goodness gracious me...

This thread has been here all morning and there was only three posts!!!

Usually we'd be on page 15 by now with nothing but comments on NOX, CO2 etc

What the hell happened? I'm guessing they don't like the report showing VW as been the cleanest in Europe maybe?

According to the RT article it was the NGO Transport & Environment. Can't say I've ever heard of them.

I love the comment from the article.

"The researchers analyzed emissions test data from around 230 diesel car models."

mmmmm I am going on a limb here to say they didn't test 230 cars, as if they did this I reckon would have been mentioned, but that they used previously released data..... and we all know how reliable that has been....
