    hi
im looking for some advice please -
i have a neighbour who has sheep and we fell out over a right of ownership of a ditch and he refuses to fence it off on his side and over the last number of years his sheep keep coming back into my land my solictor has written to him and he ignored my solictors letter about 1 year and hafe ago and still the sheep continue too stray into my land from time to time.
what i have started doing over the last number of occasions is taking photos for over a year now and also recently started reporting to angarda and most recently 2 of there kids and the wife entered my land to chase sheep off and i took photos and reported this to angarda - im lost and dont know what to do to stop this any advice would be appricated

Would agree with Eddie - just fence it up and be done...

It'll save you heart ache / worry / annoyance in the long run...

I know a few hundred euro on wire might seem expensive, but how much does a solicitors letter cost?
And how much do you value you own time - as you seem to be spending a bit of it taking photos and watching the ditch now...

    Just my opinion...

    Op you've a few options

    a) load the sheep up and take them to the pound - probably won't work cause they'd be back through the gaps in jig time

    b) call the local DVO - might be iffy doin this if you've stock yourself as they might look at it as both of you having a non-stock proof fence

    c) fence it

theres a few other options some you'd end up in trouble

Op the handiest thing is just fence it. I know it will cost u a few pond but if it's affecting you that much it's not wirth it. Life is too short to be worrying about this kind of stuff
