Moscow has called an urgent UN Security Council meeting after US-led coalition hit Syrian forces, killing 62 soldiers and wounding 100 more. The Russian FM spokeswoman blasted Washington over the indiscriminate airstrike that she said serves the interests of ISIS terrorists.
“If previously we had suspicions that Al-Nusra Front is protected this way, now, after today's airstrikes on the Syrian army we come to a really terrifying conclusion for the entire world: The White House is defending IS [Islamic State, formerly ISIS/ISIL]," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Rossiya 24.

“We demand a full and detailed explanation from Washington. That explanation must be given at the UN Security Council,” Zakharova added.

    Tonight's Weather
Staying mainly dry this evening and early tonight with some mist and fog patches forming in the midlands and east. Cloud will thicken further west though, with some rain and drizzle in Atlantic coastal parts later in the night. Temperatures will fall to 9 or 10 degrees Celsius in the eastern half of the country, but only falling to between 11 and 13 degrees Celsius further west. Southerly winds will be mostly light to moderate, fresh though along the west coast.

Long time coming America has shown nothing but contempt for Syrian soldiers civilians. My sympathies with the families of those killed.

Firstly, we don't allow politics threads in AH. There's Politics Cafe for that.

Secondly, this is a newsdump so I'm not going to move it to Politics Cafe myself because I don't know how their mods feel about newsdumps.
