Allingham Festival Poetry & Fiction Deadline; Judges Anne Enright & Afric McGlinchey

    Hi all,

    The Allingham Festival 2016 (Nov. 3rd-6th, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal) has extended the deadlines for the annual Flash Fiction and Poetry competitions. First prize in each category is €300.

    The judge for the Flash Fiction competition is none other than Anne Enright, Man Booker Prize winner and Laureate for Irish Fiction. Afric Mc Glinchey is this year's judge for the Poetry competition.

    Postal Entries should be received by close of business on Friday Sept 23rd, and online entries can be submitted up to midnight on Sunday Sept. 25th (www.allinghamfestival.com/online-entry)

    Flash Fiction must be no more than 800 words.

    Afric Mc Glinchey will also host a workshop at the festival, and Anne Enright will take part in a public interview with Sinead Gleeson.
