Does anyone know where I could get a 24.5mm diameter seat post for an old Peugeot road bike frame? Can't seem to find one anywhere, Thanks

Do you mean 25.4? I've had a few old pugs and most were 25.4 which usually resulted in me buying mtb posts and cutting a bit off or buying off flea bay

Some Cannondale frames take a 25.4 seatpost although I've only seen black ones. You could use a seatpost shim - it'll give you a wider choice of alloy posts

if its a lower end model its 24mm,

for old steel bikes no manufacturers used anything between 24mm and 25mm. usually you have 24,25,25.2 and .2 increments up to 27.2mm

You could possibly get a 25m and sand it down with fine sandpaper (then polish), wouldn't take much to sand 0.6mm off
