Parcel Motel item sent without PMID?

I was dispatched an item yesterday, and I only just realised I forgot to put the PMID on it. I did that tracking thing on the parcel motel website, I'm just wondering how reliable it is, and if there's anything else I could do?

PM works fine, but if its missing the PMID you may be in a fair bit of trouble
If the persons name is unique PM "might" be able to track the person down, but if loads of people exist with the same name then its likely they won't be able to do this.

At the end of the day there is no guarantee on this and PM wouldn't be at fault of course

No I know Parcel Motel is reliable, I meant how reliable is that parcel retrieval service.

Contact them - they have a service called 'Shopping Tracker' just for this sort of case.

You tell them the shipper used, briefly describe the package and the approx date it is expected to arrive and they will watch for it.

I had it happen for me when a supplier only put the first few digits of the PMID on my parcel. I got my parcel fine.

My wife got a phone call from them a couple of years back. They received a parcel with no pmid and were calling all of their customers with the addressee's name.

I've dropped them an email there and filled out that support ticket thing, it says they stay open till 7 so I'll wait and see for a reply.

I have my mobile no. included on everything I buy, helps prevent this sort of thing happening.

It happens a lot more than you would think. Call them and let them know. They are great about it.

    Happened before.

You can do all of this online! Happened me before, I forgot to include my PMID but filled in the tracker with as much information as I could and next thing I knew my parcel arrived. It took an extra day than normal but I still got it no problem at all.

    It's a fairly common issue - it's a question on their support page https://parcelmotel.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202014381

Filling in the tracker also increases liability from €100 to €250.
