I'll be flying to Singapore in December and travelling up through Malaysia and Thailand for 4 weeks then flying back from Bangkok. Flights are from Dublin via Paris.

Will I need to get a tourist visa for these countries? Does this need to be arranged beforehand or when we land?

First time travelling out of Europe so any advice welcome. ;)

You'll get a stamp on arrival in Singapore. Same entering Malaysia, whether overland or by air. For entry to Thailand you'll get a 30 day stamp if you arrive by air or a 15 day stamp if you enter overland.

So unless you intend to enter Thailand overland from Malaysia and stay longer than 15 days you don't need anything in advance.
