We're going to lanzarote for a week in November on our honeymoon, flights booked, looking for a nice hotel no kids, leaving our little man at home so don't want to be missing more than I will be already!! Was thinking Puerto del Carmen...might be a bit livlier than the other villages that time of year?

    Any suggestions more than welcome!

Nice hotel with no kids - then it might be Lani's Suites you're looking for. It's adults only and it's on the seafront in the middle of the resort. Warning though - it ain't cheap!

Another vote for Lani Suites if you can afford it

Other than Lani's the high end hotels do seem to be in playa blanca / costa teguise and I've heard several time playa blanca is dead as a dodo - the melia salinas all inclusive is supposed to be fab tho. the other one we looked in PdeC is La Isla y el Mar which looks amazeballs but I couldn't bring myself to spring for it (not a honeymoon trip, we went to San sebastian for that)

Puerto calero is close enoug to PdeC (walkable during the day - not so much at night) and the costa calero is supposed to be pretty good but puerto calero is quite small.

Try the capital arrecife, there's a big hotel on the beach Gran hotel and spa, nicer to be in a Real town for honeymoon I'd say .

We're also looking to do a Lanzarote honeymoon. Lani suites looks amazing but I have to say I really prefer being in an apartment when I'm going away for a long period of time (2wks, etc). I like having my own kitchen! Does anybody here know of a highend/luxury aparthotel complex in the Puerto Del Carmen area? Preferably where you'd have your own large sunbathing terrace/balcony . Obviously in a dream world, your own pool/jacuzzi too ;)

Try AirBnb. We booked a gorgeous villa with it's own pool in Puerto del Carmen for next month.
They had loads of lovely apartments available

Playa Blanca is nice, and has lots of really nice all inclusive resorts with all amenities (spas, pools, activities etc) that you don't really get in Puerto del Carmen.

Princess Yaiza probably the fanciest but all budgets available especially that time of year.

A villa might be a good idea?

We stayed in the Hotel Costa Calero last year and loved it, but it might be too old of an age group for some. We like quiet so we didn't mind at all. It has several pools and a thalasso spa. There are some nice restaurants in Puerto Calero and bars too, and it's only ten minutes in a taxi to PDC.
