Hi, just purchased an IKEA kitchen and installed it with a little help from a chippie
Problem arose when I tried to attach a 600 x 800 door to the front of my new integrated electrolux dishwasher (not bought in IKEA)
The recess at the bottom of the dishwasher is not deep enough to allow the 800 door to slide in when opening the dishwasher -
Any help would b much appreciated

Not really understanding what's up by your description, but it sounds like the dishwasher isn't at the right height. Is the bottom of the door catching your kick board by any chance?
Can you post a pic of it? Appliances are pretty much universal.

The problem could be the height of the door , standard doors are 720 high , Ikea doors are 800 high , with the new Ikea kitchen system it's hard to mix and match

You certain about being harder to mix and match?
I have the older ikea kitchen and the doors are 800 too. The floor to the bottom of my worktop is 885mm. Are you saying standard worktops sit 80mm lower than mine, or the kick boards are 80mm taller?
I've fitted 2 non ikea dishwashers without issue with this ikea door size.

The OP may need to adjust the legs on the dishwasher up so the hinge point is higher off the ground.

The plinth / kick board on the current Ikea kitchen system is 80 mm

    That adds up so :)

For the OP though, it means the dishwasher should fit, it's just they're doing something wrong.

I had to cut a section out of the plinth to allow the dish washer door to open. Whirlpool diswasher

Unless you can modify the recess in the dishwasher underneath the door, to take the 80 mm of extra door length there is not much else you can do, except get a different dishwasher as the one you have is designed for a 720 mm door, another thing to be aware of with Ikea kitchens is they need a 630 mm wide worktop , the standard 600 mm is too narrow for them

Not sure I'm fully understanding but does the dishwasher sit on legs and are they adjustable? had a few height issues with replacement dishwasher a at home a while back, and eventually figured out there were legs in the box that attached to the dishwasher and I could adjust dishwasher to required height as I needed....
