Please move to more appropriate Forum if necessary. Couple of Floor-boards in front of the marble tiles in front of Fire-place are coming up out of the ground at the moment. I want to put down a fire but is this a totally dangerous thing to do with the Floor-boards the way they are?!? :D : o

Sounds like inadequate expansion for the floor. You need to get whoever fitted the floor back.

Thanks. Yeah they will be fixed. But right now I'm just wondering about putting down fires. Is it a big no-no a disaster waiting to happen lol or would it be doable?!? I have visions of fire coming up under the marble tiles that have come up outta the ground, and the couple of Floor-boards that are buckling in front of that and the whole room taking hold! :D:o:(

If you could post a couple pics it would help explain better.
However, if thats not possible, better to stay on the side of safety until you get it fixed.
That'll at least give you peace of mind.
