Got a price on a 525 sq meter 6" slab of €15,000. Hardcore in place but some levelling. Thought it was expensive - what's reasonable ?

the concrete alone could be c 8k for 25N, more if stronger.
Also what same is the area, if its 23 m square then it will be more expensive that a 3 m wide road 175 m long:)

So if we say 8 for the concrete and 350/day per man/including any machinery such as vibrators/pumps etc, thats 20 man days, or 2 weeks work for two men

Sounds very expensive. You need approx 80 cubes of concrete. Haven't got any myself in years but imagine it's about 60 to 70 euros a cube. At 70 a cube that is 5600 euros. 10 grand would do a lot of work, a lot more than you need.

Thanks for the responses - slab is roughly square 25*21 meters. It will slope from both sides to the middle with run off down through the middle. Had costed concrete at about 6k and 1500 euro for screening. Just no idea on labour and how much time it would take. The most would have thought is 3days prep and two days pouring for two people.

No steel? No expansion joints? Sounds like it won't last too long if machinery are on running on it?

    15k

1 man to grade with machine operator 1-2 days ,dependant on grading, roller, 2000 , 2 men to shutter maybe, concrete 6500-7500 , 2 days labour for 2 men to pour 1400, not to mention truck waiting time to empty, 2gs for guy to make prophet out of it. There's 13k without steel, no point in doing it without it imo because it won't last.

Great thanks for that. Doesn't look too unreasonable in that context. Chap quoting has a good reputation.
