Sink in bedroom... yay or neigh

I've recently (with my fiancé) bought a house (hopefully the paperwork is a minor details...but house is sale agreed)

Two of the bedrooms have a sink in them (standard early 80's!)
The bedrooms are a decent size and we're thinking of keeping them.
People seem to have such strong anti sink in bedroom thoughts!
Carpets+sink=ughhhh etc.

However, once we can afford it, we will hopefully put in a wooden floor and would hopefully put in a new sink like the ones below..

Any thoughts?!
The rooms that have the sinks will prob be used a a nursery and spare room so I'm thinking will be super handy for baby washing..guest teeth brushing etc!

I had a chuckle when I read this, my in-laws have sinks in their bedrooms like the second picture you posted. To be honest the first time I saw it I thought it was the most bizarre thing I had ever come across BUT it is so handy for brushing your teeth/washing your face before going to bed or going downstairs etc :eek: The rooms are pretty big so it doesn't take up much space. If you like it go for it

The house we are hopefully buying has a sink in the bedroom where my teenage daughters will be, very handy, although wouldn't have my younger child in it , can see problems with flooding the house lol
