Finance Question...

    Hi all,

Going to be looking at upgrading over the next few weeks. I'm not even fully sure what exactly I'm going to get, but just wondering what people think the best approach is regarding financing? I know some dealers seem to offer it, but would this tend to be an expensive loan, or are the interest rates much different from what a bank would offer for a loan? (I'm going to assume we don't all just walk in with 20k in the back pocket?) Thinking of spending in the neighbourhood of 17 - 20, but will obviously make a more concrete decision once I decide what I want, and also how the financing will work out.

TL/DR: financing from the garage, loan from the bank, something else?

Get quotes from your bank and from dealers, remember that there is normally a fee at the end of the loan to pay and this may vary with loans so factor this amount in when comparing.

It's like anything you shop around and do some maths. Banks, other financial outlets and dealers are very good at fudging figures to make them look very attractive but make sure you understand the terms and compare calculations.
