Has anybody seen High Times magazine in Dublin lately? They used to sell it in Tower Records. Do they want people subscribing to it so they can track them I wonder?

Maybe this should be moved to conspiracy theories 'cough cough' High Times is a sh1te and overpriced magazine anyway,id suggest subscribing to 'soft secrets' instead. Much more informative and its free.

I don't use it, the stuff in Ireland is dirt anyway. I'm just doing some research, the magazine is a bit easier on the eye than staring at a computer screen.

The people in authority who still have a 'reefer madness' attitude to cannabis, or whoever decides what literature is inappropriate to sell in Ireland.

Cannabis should be legalised, for all uses, with only a few restrictions.

The failure to legalise is damaging to the State. People are losing faith in politicians and the police. People no longer expect politicians or the police to be rational or to do the right thing.

If I can't trust the government on this issue then I can't trust them on any issue.

I'd encourage people to grow their own and to tell the government to rack off.

Legalising cannabis would immediately cause a reduction in the violence on our streets, and a reduction on the number of admissions to Accident & Emergency.

Legalising cannabis makes perfect sense. Continued prohibition does not.

Therefore, do the right thing, ignore the government and grow your own. It's greaaat!.

Ok. And why would the people who publish High Times share their subscription data with those authorities?

I don't think HT's would voluntarily share the data but if local police forces can access your bank account records then wouldn't it show as a code on the DD? I was just thinking out loud, it night just be that it wasn't selling in Dublin for some reason.

I don't think the local police forces (you mean the guards?) have the resources or authority to go sniffing through every bank account, and even if they did, something tells me there use that power for something a bit more important than seeing who is subscribed to a fairly obscure magazine. I'd say you can probably sleep easy.
