So, I'm 4 weeks out before my marathon and one bastard corn wants to stop me.
Some recommendation for really good pedicure? Preferably Dublin south to central...
I've booked appointment with spectrumfootclinics.ie and I'm also looking at chiropody.ie. Comments?

I'm a 'bit' frustrated at the moment as I missed last 3,5 years of marathon because of all sorts of injuries. So, I'm desperate to run marathon this time...No injuries for last 12 months and now...for f*** sake...
can't allow for that tiny thing to stop me now...

    Please help :(

    Thanks in advance!

How did you get on? Ironically... Suffering myself with similar... I'm wondering would a really good pedicure do the trick... Lump of hard skin killing me on long runs...

Removed it same day at local pedicurist.
It's just one of those small things you need to put in. Small thing mentioned here is one I call oily socks. Pick some old cotton socks. Before bed, rub olive oil on your foot, soap sock in oil also, leave it during the night. It softens your skin by re-hydrating it.
As I yet didn't find a sock that I would feel comfortable for overnight, I'm doing pedicurist 3-4 times a year.

Some people might get away by just rubbing olive oil before going to bed, without extra socks...

I used a corn plaster bought on the shelf in the chemist on my foot and it sorted it within 7 days. The yolk had been annoying me for months and I got sick of filing it down. I hasn't returned since.
