This is fast becoming one of my favourite shows on Sunday, she had me psyched up for Electric Picnic, she's up there with the people that used to do the TV programmes No Disco (Leagues O'Toole among others) and Michelle Doherty and Elton Mullally with Under Ether on RTE 2.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

She's radio royalty! K-A just seems so natural on-air and it's apparent she loves music and her job. Her DJ sets are pretty good too.

She plays great stuff, I'm not always familiar with the artists and have Shazammed and bought a lot of what she plays! Think she won an award recently too, the name of it escapes me now though.

Any time I tune in she's always playing good stuff. Seems to have an love for the music that you can't fake. I kinda had her marked as a bit of a legend after she did a Prince special after his death. I suspect she may have had a big night the previous evening as she could barely speak - just a guttural croak instead of a voice. And yet her enthusiasm and excitement about Prince and his brilliant music kept her going and I'd say she could have happily kept going for another three to four hours. Yeah, she's good.

Happened upon this show last Sunday at the start of a 3 hour drive
Not familiar with her but well impressed with the tunes.
Is there a playback available any where?

As far as her radio carer is concerned, Kelly-Anne Byrne got her first big break with Phantom 105.2 in 2013 as a weekend presenter, playing dancey alternative music. When the station was rebranded in 2014 as TXFM, K-A got the weekday evening slot playing a mixture of alternative/indie and some soul or whatever else took her fancy. This was until weekday evening programming was stopped during 2016 as it moved towards permanent closure. At the same time, she was presenting The Beat Goes On on Saturday nights on Today FM. She was given a new weekend slot on TXFM after a spell, before it closed down for good on October 2016. K-A was part of its last show. Eventually, K-A got a second slot on Sunday nights on Today FM.

And, of course, she also is a deejay in clubs.

Her enthusiasm and passion for music is obvious for anyone who hears her. That is why she fitted in so well with Phantom / TXFM.

She's got a great taste in music.

She has a great taste in music indeed, but her voice/accent would annoy me.

Not aiming at Kelly Anne, though it is very easy for radio presenters to have 'a great taste' in music these days.

It might be easy for a radio presenter to sound like they have great taste in music, but to me few make it obvious it's not fake and also by how they talk about the music they play.
